This presentation addresses three topics: revisions to the Severe Sepsis/Septic Shock Early Management Bundle (SEP-1) measure in version 5.1 of the Inpatient Quality Reporting Specifications Manual; how these changes impact abstraction; as well as updates to the data elements and the algorithm.
